Green Space Project is a go…

I am pleased to be launching a green agenda based Project, which has allowed me to integrate my own skills and talents into the project. 

In December 2020, former Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced national plans to reduce the country’s emissions by 68% before the year 2030. This plays a pivotal part in the UK’s green agenda, but what exactly does that mean to those in the communities I have grew up in? What changes or challenges does the unheard of have to adhere to willingly or unwillingly? 

‘What is the green agenda?’ Is still a question the majority of the lower income communities ask in question to the green agenda itself, without having to see plans of the green agenda, they are still stuck on the title of status quo. I will enter the 10 point plan of the green agenda with the intention to answer both questions, ‘What is the green agenda?’ and ‘What are the Green agenda plans?’ This ten point plan I believe will increase the understanding on what the agenda itself has brought forward to execute, which in itself answers both questions without going into much detail. 

The Ten Point Plan

1.  Advance offshore wind

2.  Drive the growth of low carbon hydrogen

3.  Deliver new and advanced nuclear power

4.  Accelerate the shift to zero emission vehicles

5.  Push for green public transport, cycling, and walking

6.  Invest in green ships and planes

7.  Invest in greener buildings

8.  Investing in carbon capture, usage, and storage

9.  Protect the natural environment

10. Push for green finance and innovation

I myself coming from a music background have always before making music had a sense of community and care coming from a Jamaican background where my grandparents were pastors which allowed me to grasp the sense of unification between the communities and families. Growing up into an adult with the same morals of sense of community, but instead it was not the church community but the peers in the areas I would grow up in. 

This in itself is what has led me on the path of community research. Feeling like I am apart of the help not the problem in the areas I would see my self growing up in. 

Following onto today I am proud to be apart of something which has such a huge impact on not only the community but the world. 

The green space project I intend to produce shall be delivered through a number of mediums. My long past history of music will be included as I feel the majority of my followers and listeners have and will appreciate the way I present and express the theme I am trying to get through to them. 

The example above is the artwork created for a single released by myself named Stern. The intention behind the artwork is to feel a strong sense of love. By using a green heart I covered the natural inclination towards love, I also used the DNA imagery with an electrifying type look to add to the intensity of the love. This worked perfectly, as I result it was my most streamed single for this project without having a music video. 

I intend to do the same with the green space agenda based project. The artwork alone will speak volumes to whoever glances at it. 

Other mediums I will delve into but not detail as much also include an art gallery of work and branding strategies allowing me to use my level of education to produce a type of content based on green space agenda which I shall incorporate together to deliver a green agenda project. 

Main reasons for agreeing on this project are that it allows me to use my skills, not only my skills but skills I intend to use for my future and also skills I like to use to benefit others. I have also taken this opportunity as it allows me to guide others from my community and also allow them to participate and use the skills we have as a community. 

This project allows me to enlighten many on the green space, myself included. I will also be learning as I am delivering which is also something I think we should all take on board, is that you can learn while you work.  

I’m glad to be merging two sides who feel they are separate to be able to come together and discuss one of the many problems we face as a country, community and world. Hopefully this project does it due diligence and has a successful impact on not only myself and the name of the companies who are working together to get it done but the people who we intend for the message to hear. 

Impact and urban health, Centric and the members from all branches of the community who are here to make a difference not only in the speech but their actions are coming together for the better of the community. We as a collective can only do so much and not everyone can hear the message. My project will at the least get to the places I stand for, the poorer less fortunate, the person with no WiFi at home, the ones going through trauma, depression and anxiety, the youth with no father figure, those with no guidance. 

Let’s make a clear message. Green is real.
